IE Consultants was responsible for the preparation of Contract Plans for 3000' of new roadway in Sherman, IL including a railroad grade separation structure. IE's work include coordination with UPRR and ICC, and the design of a temporary RR shoofly.
The project included the design of a new Railroad Bridge:
UPRR over Meredith Drive. One span RR bridge, 139'-0" back to back of abutments, 19' width. Superstructure consists of ballasted reinforced concrete trough on 36" steel deck girders. Substructure consists of PPC I-Beam Vaulted Abutments at 30 degree skew.
